Deadline is April 15.

Registration is now open University of the Aftermarket Data Standards 2.0.

“This program was developed for aftermarket catalog managers and product information professionals who would like to sharpen their knowledge and management of the industry data standards – ACES and PIES,” stated Dr. Thomas Litzinger, executive director of the University of Aftermarket, Northwood University. “Learners will become familiar with the Auto Care databases and how to effectively use them in their day-to-day work.”

Students who attend this program will learn how to identify important digital content for products. They will become familiar with the Auto Care Standards databases and learn how to use the coded data from the Auto Care standards databases within ACES and PIES XML deliverables.

“This live, two-day educational program is open to anyone who works with the aftermarket standards ACES and PIES, or who would benefit from developing a general knowledge base on ACES and PIES,” Litzinger noted.

Specific topics will include the fundamentals of ACES and PIES; product assessments; use cases for ACES; ACES data mapping; planning and considerations for content management; use cases for PIES; creating a PIES file; and data governance.

“Students will gain working foundational knowledge of the aftermarket data standards and practice firsthand how to use the relevant databases to create an ACES file and PIES file,” Litzinger explained. “The program will be taught by experienced aftermarket professionals from the Auto Care Association.”

The event will be held June 19-20 at MAHLE, 23030 Mahle Drive, Farmington Hills, Michigan.

The cost is $899 per attendee, and that includes tuition, materials, snacks and lunch. Travel, dinner and hotel accommodations are not included in the tuition price.

Upon completion of Data Standards 2.0, attendees will earn continuing education units (CEUs) toward their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP, MAAP) professional designation.
