NEXUS Automotive International Accelerates Innovation Strategy

NEXUS Automotive Intl. Accelerates Innovation Strategy

NEXUS will focus on 3 pillars: investment; identifying and supporting innovative players; and diversifying its portfolio.

NEXUS Automotive International announced that after presenting its new strategy during Automechanika Frankfurt and Equip Auto Paris, three main priorities have emerged:

– A priority: accelerating growth

– A necessity: capitalize on innovation

– An emergency: sustainable development

NEXUS Automotive International says it specifies and reinforces its strategy in terms of innovation around three pillars:

  1. Investing through the Mobilion venture capital fund created in Tel Aviv three years ago. This will enter Phase 2 of its development thanks to a fundraising of 100 million euros scheduled for 2023.
  2. Identifying and supporting innovation players in the automotive aftermarket. For example, Sparker, a global innovation ecosystem, is dedicated to accelerating and servicing startups in the “Green & Smart” mobility sector of the automotive aftermarket. Led by Benoît Ducorps, it will be launched in November in Barcelona.
  3. Diversifying the portfolio. Beyond identifying and investing, NEXUS says is essential to offer innovation to the N! community by integrating it into the group’s business model.

NEXUS adds it has created an innovation committee to orchestrate its diversification. It is composed of internal and external experts ruling on new products and services identified through several categories including Safety, EV, Mobility and, Sustainability. This committee will allow NEXUS to identify the most promising AA products and services; and will provide the opportunity to test, adopt and use these new offers, in order to create more value.

Sparker will manage, track and select startups that are presenting products and services that can be used and commercialized in the industry and de facto, allow its community to better prepare for the massive evolutions to come, NEXUS says.
