Alligator sens.it RS universal TPMS sensors now covers the all-new next-gen GM pick-up trucks – 1/2 ton (2019- Chevy Silverado 1500 & 2019 GMC Sierra 1500) and heavy-duty (2020- Chevy Silverado 2500/3500 & 2020- GMC Sierra 2500/3500).
GM trucks have always used 315 MHz sensors but the new models come equipped with 433 MHz parts and also have a feature that is new to the pick-ups: tire-fill assist. The Tire Fill Alert System indicates via audio and visual cues when a tire is being inflated. When filling a tire, the turn signal will flash on the corner that is being filled and inform the driver that the optimal tire pressure has been reached during inflation by sounding a single horn chirp. If the tire is accidentally over inflated, the vehicle will sound three successive horn chirps.
When replacing OEM sensors with aftermarket sensors, RS series TPMS sensors from Alligator provide all the functionality your car delivers. Regardless of the tool you use to program your Alligator TPMS sensors, this new vehicle should be available for programming after you complete the latest update, the company says.
