MAACO Brings Back Iconic Catch Phrase For 2015 Campaign

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – MAACO launched its 2015 branding and marketing campaign with a fresh twist on its iconic catch phrase, “Uh-Oh, Better Get Maaco.” The “Uh-Oh, Better Get MAACO” tagline, first used in 1981, quickly became one of the most recognizable catch phrases of the 80s, defined by its quirky commercials and celebrity personalities.

This new campaign, created by Philadelphia-based Red Tettemer + Partners, will take a modern approach to an American classic. From unhappy neighbors to angry deer, episodic commercials will follow a modern family and the “uh-ohs” that bring them to MAACO.

In 2015, MAACO will leverage campaign assets across all media to connect with a whole new generation of MAACO customers. From its new MAACO mobile app to an updated interior shop image, the national provider of auto painting and collision repair says it is making great strides to enhance the customer experience.

“By tapping into something that is so iconic, we can leverage years of brand equity while engaging customers with modern humor,” said Artemio Garza, chief marketing officer of MAACO. “We hear it on the streets from the more than 20 million customers who have turned to us for paint and collision repairs, ‘Uh-Oh, Better Get MAACO’ will always be a part of our roots.”
