Vast-Auto Distribution, a leading automotive parts distributor in Eastern Canada, has announced the opening of its eighth distribution center in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The official opening date is scheduled for early January 2017.
Vast-Auto’s decision to establish this new facility in Halifax, the provincial capital of Nova Scotia and the economic hub of Atlantic Canada, supports the company’s inventory proximity strategy with its parts store partners.
“We are very excited about servicing parts stores in the Halifax Regional Municipality from this new facility and making sure they have access to the parts they need when they need them,” said John Del Vasto, president of Vast-Auto Distribution.
At Vast-Auto, parts availability through accessibility plays a significant role in enriching the customer service experience. This new facility’s wide inventory assortment of both national and private label automotive parts brands will reduce lead times and provide parts stores located in the region with the ability to better service their customers, the company says.
The addition of this facility supports Vast-Auto’s growth strategy. “We see opportunity in expanding our parts store footprint and the addition of this facility provides the stepping stone,” said Del Vasto.
