Ty Nilsson Joins ATP Automotive As Senior Vice President, Sales

Nilsson will have overall responsibility for the ATP sales organization and will report directly to Steve Horn, executive vice president.

TyNillsonATP Automotive has announced that Ty Nilsson has joined the company as senior vice president of sales. Nilsson will have overall responsibility for the ATP sales organization and will report directly to Steve Horn, executive vice president.

In making this announcement, Roy Lipner, president and CEO, said, “I am thrilled to have a professional the caliber of Ty joining our organization. Ty brings a wealth of experience and professional success to this position.”

Since entering the business as a field sales rep in 1983, he has held sales and marketing positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to joining ATP, Nilsson held the position of vice president of sales for MotoRad, joining them in 2008. He also has held a number of other high level sales positions in other companies, including Mark IV Automotive, Quaker State, Champion Laboratories and Arvin Meritor.

Horn stated, “Ty has had extensive experience in successfully selling and managing key aftermarket accounts throughout North America. He is well-known within the industry and has effectively managed both direct sales teams as well as manufacturer representatives. He is extremely well-prepared to assume this new role.”

Nilsson earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Tulsa University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he also was the captain of the basketball team his senior year.
