Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Opens 17th Location

The Pennsylvania-based Federated member also is celebrating its 66th anniversary.

Federated member Hovis Auto & Truck Supply, located in Mercer, Pennsylvania, recently celebrated the grand opening of its 17th location in Wexford, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Pittsburgh. The new hub location offers customers more than 17,000 square feet of store space.

At the grand-opening celebration, more than 150 guests were treated to lunch, root beer floats, games and giveaways, which included Hovis and Federated apparel. The No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil show car also was at the event, along with a racing simulator. Those in attendance had the opportunity to participate in a raffle featuring prizes such as a kayak, tool box, gift cards, automotive accessories, NASCAR tickets and many other prizes.

Twenty manufacturers were present for a vendor expo to showcase their product offerings and, later in the evening, Hovis hosted a Federated Auto Parts Professional Business Seminar for more than 40 customers.

“The Hovis family would like to thank its employees, our vendor partners and all those in attendance for making this opportunity possible and making our grand opening a great success,” said Cliff Hovis, president of Auto & Truck Supply.

This year also marks another milestone for Hovis Auto & Truck Supply as it celebrates its 66th anniversary. First opened as a family business in 1952, Hovis has expanded through the years to include automotive and heavy-duty truck parts sales plus paint, body and equipment sales.

“At Hovis Auto and Truck Supply, we have based the success of our business on four key ingredients: our dedicated professionals, our large inventories, our quality name brand parts and our competitive prices,” said Hovis. “I want to thank all our employees, both past and present, who have helped us grow our business into the successful one it is today.”
