Auto Care Association Presents Catalog And Product Standards At RUJAC International Conference

In addition to sponsoring a booth and interacting with RUJAC conference attendees, the Auto Care Association hosted three informative seminars that shared why technology standards are critical for efficient business operations and how to implement them.

The Auto Care Association briefed the repair and retail shop attendees of the 33rd annual Expo Internacional RUJAC 2017 last week in Guadalajara, Mexico. RUJAC is the Refaccionarias Unidas de Jalisco A.C., an association that brings together both original equipment and parts for cars and heavy equipment throughout Mexico.

A key focus for the Auto Care Association has been sharing its two respected standards for the exchange of catalog and product information (the Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard [ACES] and the Product Information Exchange Standard [PIES]) with key international markets, in an effort to further standardize and unify product content to lower supply chain costs and contribute to increased sales and operational efficiency.

In addition to sponsoring a booth and interacting with RUJAC attendees, the Auto Care Association hosted three informative seminars that shared why technology standards are critical for efficient business operations and how to implement them. The association also presented at an invite-only breakfast organized by the Asociación Nacional de Representantes, Importadores y Distribuidores de Refacciones y Accessorios para Automóviles A.C. (ARIDRA), the primary industry association representing manufacturers, representatives, importers and distributors of automotive parts and accessories in Mexico.

Alejandro Calderon, president of ARIDRA, said, “The communication standards are very important for the Mexican aftermarket.”
