In an ongoing effort to support future growth in the Chinese automotive market, The Woodbridge Group has announced a joint venture (JV) between Woodbridge GSK High Polymer Technology Co. Ltd. (WGSK) and Guangzhou Automobile Group Component Co. Ltd. (GACC). This strategic joint venture will focus on delivering molded polyurethane foam for automotive seat cushioning, head restraints and armrests. The JV name will continue to be Woodbridge GSK High Polymer Technology Co. Ltd.
The Woodbridge Group and its partners in The World Polyurethane Alliance operate 62 facilities in 17 countries, as global leaders in the development and production of polyurethane and expanded polypropylene products. Automotive applications include components for seating, structural support, interior soft trim products, headliner systems, cargo management solutions, and engineered products for occupant protection and acoustical management. Woodbridge also offers contract assembly and sequencing and supply chain management, as well as a full range of value added services including engineering and design.

GACC services Guangzhou’s growing automotive industry and cooperates with several well-known auto parts enterprises with many joint ventures. GACC’s products include automobile seats, vehicle lamp, carpet, sound insulator, A/C systems, springs, cushions, smelting aluminum and aluminum wheels, among others. GACC provides products directly to vehicle manufacturers, such as Guangzhou Honda, Dongfeng Honda, Dongfeng Nissan, Dongfeng Citroen, Hainan Mazda and Guangzhou Toyota. GACC also exports to the U.S., Germany and throughout Asia.
