Vast-Auto Distribution Expands in Quebec with Acquisition

Vast-Auto has acquired the assets of Pièces d’Autos Victo and Freins Démarreurs Plessis.

Vast-Auto Distribution, a subsidiary of Groupe Del Vasto, a distributor and marketer of automotive parts in Eastern Canada, and a shareholder of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, has acquired the assets of Pièces d’Autos Victo and Freins Démarreurs Plessis, as well as the shares of Pièces d’Autos Thetford.

Founded in 2008 by Normand Roy, the organization has evolved over its 15 years and established itself as a strong automotive parts wholesaler and retailer in south-central Quebec, Vast-Auto Distribution said. Since opening the first of three locations in Victoriaville, the company has been committed to serving professional service centers through a wide product assortment and an exceptionally qualified staff of parts specialists.

Roy will hand over the reins to Groupe Del Vasto, as both companies share a common vision and the same values.

“We have always worked hard to ensure we achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction by offering a vast inventory of high-quality parts with a strong focus on service. Groupe Del Vasto has clearly established itself as a leading Canadian distributor within the automotive aftermarket, and I know they are the best choice for the future of my business, loyal customers and dedicated employees. I am confident that Groupe Del Vasto will continue to build on our success,” said Roy.

Mauro Cifelli, president and CEO of Groupe Del Vasto, said the completion of this transaction aligns with Groupe Del Vasto’s long-term growth plans, expanding its footprint in Eastern Canada and allowing it to capture additional market share.

“We value Mr. Roy’s trust and are honored by his decision to move forward with Groupe Del Vasto. His continued involvement in managing the business will ensure a seamless transition and we are committed to maintaining the relationship established with his employees, and ensure customers continue to receive the best-in-class service that they have been accustomed to,” said Cifelli.

Jordan and Raphaël Roy, Normand Roy’s sons, will continue to manage the operations as assistant managers at
the Victoriaville and Plessisville stores respectively, while Nicolas Lévesque continues his tenure as manager at the Thetford Mines location.

As an industry, the aftermarket is unique and fortunate to have a robust, well-documented set of industry-specific data standards. If you’ve been in the automotive aftermarket since breakfast, you know there are data requirements about the products you sell and the vehicles they fit that are different from anything you’ve seen in any other hard goods industry. Year, Make, Model, Aspiration of the Engine or the Bed Length of your pick-up truck are all critical data to selecting the correct automotive replacement part of one type or another.
