UPDATE: Veyance Promotion Aims to Educate Technicians and Consumers about Timing Belt Kits

Until Oct. 3, the company is running a timing belt kit promotion that gives technicians a working display to help educate consumers on the importance of each component in the timing belt system. In addition, the kits include stickers similar to those used for oil changes to inform consumers just how critical the replacement is.

UPDATE: The company has extended this promotion until Oct. 3.

FAIRLAWN, Ohio – As summer heats up, Veyance Technologies, the manufacturer of Goodyear Gatorback belts, is reminding motorists that vehicle maintenance is all about timing. Veyance is the exclusive manufacturer of Goodyear Engineered Products worldwide.

Until Sept. 6 (now extended to Oct. 3), the company is running a timing belt kit promotion that gives technicians a working display to help educate consumers on the importance of each component in the timing belt system. In addition, the kits include stickers similar to those used for oil changes to inform consumers just how critical the replacement is.

According to Veyance’s belt experts, a timing belt and its components are an integral part of any vehicle. Depending on the engine type, if a timing belt or its components fail, it could cause thousands of dollars worth of damage to the engine.

“If a timing belt and its components are not properly serviced on time, the pistons and valves can collide on interference engines causing severe damage to your vehicle, as well as excessive costs in repairs,” said Tory Perren, aftermarket marketing manager for Veyance. “We recommend replacing your belt and its components between 60,000 and 100,000 miles.”

The Goodyear Gatorback Timing Belt Kits offer quiet operation and long life, while maintaining length stability for any vehicle application, according to Veyance. The kits are designed to meet or exceed OE standards and include easy-to-follow instructions, which allow mechanics at all levels to successfully complete an installation, the company adds. Water pumps are included for applicable vehicles.

Promotional items include a timing belt kit display, counter mat, replacement brochures and replacement stickers. For more information on the new promotion or Gatorback timing kits, contact your Goodyear Engineered Products sales rep or visit www.goodyearep.com.
