CHICAGO — Universal Technical Institute (UTI) and American Honda Motor Co. have announced plans to offer Honda’s Professional Automotive Career Training (P.A.C.T.) program at UTI’s campus Glendale Heights, Ill., campus beginning this summer. This will be the only P.A.C.T. training location in the Metropolitan Chicago area.
Prior to participating in Honda P.A.C.T., students must complete UTI’s core automotive program. During P.A.C.T. coursework, students will have the opportunity to complete factory maintenance and repair section certifications in several areas, including express service, general maintenance, electrical repair, engine repair, transmission repair, fuel system repair, air conditioning repair, steering and suspension repair and brake repair.
Upon completion of the program, a student will have completed a minimum of 63 weeks of training and will be eligible for entry-level employment with participating Honda and Acura dealers.
