Tony Molla To Keynote MACS 2016 Training Event

Molla has had an impressive 35-year career in the automotive aftermarket. Prior to being named vice president at ASA, he was vice president of communications for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in Leesburg, Virginia, for 15 years.

Tony Molla - ASAAutomotive industry veteran Tony Molla, vice president at the Automotive Service Association (ASA), will be the keynote speaker at the MACS 2016 Training Event and Trade Show, “Mobile A/C: The Next Generation.” The MACS keynote luncheon sponsored by MAHLE Service Solutions will be held Feb. 11 at The Caribe Royale All Suite Hotel and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Molla has had an impressive 35-year career in the automotive aftermarket. Prior to being named vice president at ASA, he was vice president of communications for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) in Leesburg, Virginia, for 15 years. Before joining ASE, Molla spent nine years as the editorial director of Motor Age magazine and Automotive Body Repair News (ABRN). He is an ASE-certified automotive technician, past president of the Automotive Communications Council and a regular presenter and moderator at many annual industry events. Molla is an honorary lifetime member of the Mobile Air Conditioning Society Worldwide (MACS) and an associate member of the Society of Automotive Engineers.

“MACS is pleased to have Tony Molla’s participation as our 2016 keynote speaker. He is a natural to help us explore our theme for 2016, Mobile A/C: The Next Generation,” said Elvis Hoffpauir, MACS president and chief operating officer. “The mobile A/C industry is poised at a time of generational change in people and technology.”

What will MACS keynote luncheon attendees learn at the event? “The automotive service industry is in the midst of the largest generational shift in its 100-plus year history. The men and women who will be stepping into those leadership roles face technology and business challenges we could only scarcely imagine 25 years ago,” Molla remarked. “We’ll take a look back at where we were and a look ahead at some of our possible futures as we meet a few of those leaders of tomorrow and explore the many ways automotive service will never be the same.”
