Amid the fear and uncertainty of the coronavirus pandemic, it can be hard to find things to be positive about, but Florida-based Tire Kingdom Service Centers remains determined to find opportunities to give back and express appreciation to fellow members of essential business serving on the front lines.
The team at the 1544 Palm Beach Lakes Blvd. shop in West Palm Beach, Florida, heard about a local Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches franchisee’s promotion, “Pay It ‘Freaky Fast’ Forward,” and jumped at the chance to get involved. According to Jimmy John’s, the program was created to provide meals to those impacted and/or deemed vital during the COVID-19 crisis. For every sub purchased the restaurant donates one sub. Tire Kingdom purchased $250 worth of subs as part of parent company TBC Corporation’s Driven To Give initiative.
“In these difficult and stressful times, we want to say, ‘Thank You’ to all first responders and members of essential business working tirelessly to keep our communities safe,” said Erik Olsen, president and CEO of TBC Corporation. “The generous spirit of our local retail community allows us to support organizations and individuals who have a strong desire to leave everything better in the community.”
The Tire Kingdom team delivered the sandwiches with the company’s concierge mobile tire installation service van. The concierge service offers tire mounting, balancing and installation in the Palm Beach metro area – from Jupiter to Lake Worth.
An integral part of TBC and all business units spanning retail, franchise, wholesale, distribution, ecommerce and corporate shared services is corporate social responsibility (CSR). In fact, one of the company’s core values focuses on it — leave everything better. The company has initiatives that are driven by the company as well as initiatives that are Associate-driven, all communicated to associates via a formalized program called TBC Driven To Give (#TBCDrivenToGive).
To further give back to the community during this time of need, Tire Kingdom is extending discounts to all first responders, healthcare workers and employees of essential businesses. The company is offering free pickup and drop-off of vehicles (where applicable) and offering a 20 percent discount on service, 10 percent off tires and special savings on oil changes. In addition, Tire Kingdom is offering curbside service and stay-in-car service.
“At TBC, we implement programs that provide us the opportunity to give back to the community and make a lasting impact,” said Olsen. “While people are on the front lines risking their lives to save lives, we want to help make sure their vehicles are safe and in good working order.”
