Tire Discounters Wraps 2023 with Continued Growth

In 2023, Tire Discounters opened new stores in Georgia and Tennessee, and added two locations in the Cincinnati area.

Tire Discounters has expanded its operations over the past two years, adding 16 businesses and 41 new stores in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky. The expansion includes the acquisition of Butler Tire, a tire retailer, and Carriage House Car Wash, a car wash business. Additionally, Tire Discounters has entered into the pre-owned specialty car dealership market with two new locations.

Jamie Ward, president and CEO of Tire Discounters, said the company’s growth strategy includes the addition of new stores, strategic acquisitions and investments in employee training.

“Over the past few years, we’ve partnered with more than 40 stores through acquisition and will continue to do so, aligning with partners who share our values,” said Ward.

Founded in 1976 by Chip Wood, Tire Discounters is a family-owned and operated tire dealer in the United States. The company’s recent growth includes a focus on training for the repair and maintenance of non-internal combustion engine vehicles. The Wood Family of Brands, associated with Tire Discounters, includes several automotive service and product companies, with plans for continued growth in the future.

Ward also mentioned the company’s focus on the automotive glass market, particularly concerning ADAS-equipped vehicles, through its new brand, Chip’s Auto Glass.

In 2023, Tire Discounters opened new stores in Georgia and Tennessee, and added two locations in the Cincinnati area, continuing its expansion in the automotive service market.
