The Marx Group and Marx Group Advisors has announced the addition of Kristine “Krisey” Banton to the position of executive assistant. In this role, Banton is not only responsible for supporting Tom Marx, president and CEO of The Marx Group and CEO, Marx Group Advisors, she also is the key support person to make sure both companies run smoothly. Her additional responsibilities include office management and client support.
Banton spent six years working for The Capital Group Companies, an investment bank where she supported top-level management and assisted analysts with financial research for a leading buy-side investment private equity firm.
Prior to joining The Marx Group and Marx Group Advisors, Banton worked in finance at the headquarters of Restoration Hardware in the operations department, where she contributed to the work of the finance operations team, with direction from the vice president of business operations and analytics, as well as the chief financial officer.
“With her background in investment banking and finance operations, Krisey brings a diverse skill set to support our work in marketing, research, strategy and mergers and acquisition activities,” said Marx. “Her versatility in serving both of our companies is a strong asset that we highly value. She will play a key role as our companies grow.”
Banton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from California State University, Chico.
