RALEIGH, NC — The Catevo Group, a global integrated communications, marketing, technology and management consultancy based in Raleigh, NC, has named Neal Zipser vice president of Catevo Aftermarket. In this role, Zipser will direct and help expand Catevo’s business efforts in the automotive and heavy duty aftermarket industries.
“We’re delighted to have Neal join our stable of experienced executives who can help our clients’ businesses evolve,” said Dr. Mitch Javidi, Catevo president and CEO. “The aftermarket is an evolving industry faced with new business challenges such as globalization, supply chain rationalization and competitive benchmarking. Our strategic and business integration capabilities combined with our global reach will help us serve as a catalyst for our aftermarket clients.”
“It’s not business as usual in today’s aftermarket,” Zipser said. “Companies have to think and act differently than they have in the past to think globally, strengthen their value proposition and leverage their differentiation in the market. Catevo Aftermarket is unique in that it integrates under one roof various disciplines from market positioning, brand management and forecasting to analytical tools and global strategic planning.”
“Catevo has nearly 40 years of experience in helping a wide array of companies meet and overcome challenges” Zipser continued. “I look forward to bringing the benefit of that experience to aftermarket companies to help them do more than just merely survive; we want to help companies of any size plan, strategize and map a path to increased efficiency and a stronger bottom line.”
Catevo launched its efforts in the aftermarket in 2006 by conducting the research and developing the final report of the comprehensive Automotive Data Vision study. The year-long project concluded that while data management is a serious concern to the aftermarket, the industry lacks consensus on a solution.
Prior to joining Catevo, Zipser was vice president of marketing and communications for the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), where he was responsible for coordinating the marketing and communications programs of MEMA and its market segment associations in the automotive aftermarket and heavy duty vehicle segments. He also served as senior editor of FOCUS, MEMA’s quarterly magazine, and was named runner-up in PR News’ Not-Profit PR Executive of the Year competition in 2006.
In addition, Zipser served as marketing communications manager for Visteon’s global aftermarket operations, where he managed the company’s marketing efforts relating to consumer electronics and climate control products. At Visteon, he helped launch the Fortune 200 company’s brand into the independent aftermarket and dealer channels.
Zipser is based in Catevo’s Raleigh, NC, headquarters.
