Take 5 Raises $202,000 for Folds of Honor

Folds of Honor provides academic scholarships to the family members of fallen or disabled service members and first responders.

Take 5 Oil Change announced that its second-annual Folds of Honor Fundraiser generated $202,044 to support the families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.

“Take 5 is committed to the communities it serves and is dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of those who have served our local neighborhoods and country,” the company said in a news release.

Folds of Honor provides academic scholarships to the family members of fallen or disabled service members and first responders, enabling them to continue their education. Last year, during the inaugural Folds of Honor Fundraiser, Take 5 Oil Change raised $201,500 in support of Folds of Honor’s mission. 

Throughout the Folds of Honor Fundraiser, which ran from May 21 through June 9, Take 5 Oil Change rallied its customers, employees and communities nationwide to contribute. Donations were collected at Take 5 locations across the country.

“As a brand deeply rooted in service, Take 5 Oil Change recognizes the significance of supporting our Nation’s heroes and their families,” said Mo Khalid, EVP and president, Take 5 Oil Change. “Our successful Folds of Honor fundraiser and upcoming Children’s Hospital fundraiser showcase our unwavering dedication to making a lasting impact in the lives of those in need.”

Take 5 Oil Change also will kick off its annual Children’s Hospital fundraiser in July. Last year, the Children’s Hospital fundraiser raised more than $1.1 million for children’s hospitals across the country.
