Stet Schanze To Serve As Automotive Lift Institute Interim Board Chairman

Schanze will serve as chairman of the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) board of directors, effective May 22, following the retirement of Jerry Lentz of Challenger Lifts (Louisville, Kentucky).

Stet Schanze of Gray Manufacturing Co. (St. Joseph, Missouri) will serve as chairman of the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) board of directors, effective May 22, following the retirement of Jerry Lentz of Challenger Lifts (Louisville, Kentucky). Schanze, who is the immediate past chairman of the board, will serve the remainder of Lentz’s term. ALI will elect a new chairman to a full term at its annual meeting this fall.

“On behalf of our board and membership, I’d like to thank Jerry for his 26 years of service to ALI,” said ALI President R.W. “Bob” O’Gorman. “His dedication and passion have been instrumental in helping us protect lift operators and promote the safe design and use of vehicle lifts. Jerry has been a key supporter of ALI’s Lift Inspector Certification program coming to fruition. We wish him well in his retirement.”

The ALI board of directors includes representatives of vehicle lift manufacturer members, as well as a representative elected by the ALI Associate Class. ALI Associate Class membership is available to North American lift service organizations with at least one ALI Certified Lift Inspector on staff.
