Speedemissions Inc. Announces Plans to Launch Franchise Business Unit

The company said it views the franchising vehicle as a means to continue its growth strategy and increase the size of its retail store presence. After securing approval for all the necessary disclosure documents, the company expects to begin selling franchises by the fourth quarter of 2012.

ATLANTA – Speedemissions Inc., a vehicle emissions testing and safety inspections company with stores in Atlanta, Houston, St. Louis and Salt Lake City, has signed an agreement with The Franchise Doctor Inc. of Atlanta, Ga., to assist with its plan to begin the franchising of its business model into a number of other U.S. markets.
 
The company said it views the franchising vehicle as a means to continue its growth strategy and increase the size of its retail store presence. After securing approval for all the necessary disclosure documents, the company expects to begin selling franchises by the fourth quarter of 2012.
 
Speedemissions will form a new company, SpeedEmissions Car Centers LLC, in which they will franchise their vehicle emission and safety inspection store model. Franchises will be made available to qualified store operators who have an interest in either a single or multi-location opportunity in a number of cities where emission testing/safety inspections and other automotive services are required.
