BOUCHERVILLE, Quebec – Spectra Premium Industries Inc. was named one of the best-managed companies in Canada in 2014 for its outstanding business performance. Sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, National Post, Queen’s School of Business and MacKay CEO Forums, the “Best Managed” list recognizes companies owned and managed by Canadians whose turnover exceeds $10 million for sustained growth, financial performance, management practices and efforts of the entire organization.

Established in 1993, the competition for the best-managed companies in Canada is a leading business awards program that recognizes the merits of Canadian companies that have adopted world-class business practices and have created value in innovative ways. Every year, hundreds of companies take part in the contest. Nominations are evaluated by an independent judging panel that looks at how companies operate within various business challenges, including new technologies, globalization, brand management, leadership, development of the assets and development of basic skills, development of information systems and recruit talented members to promote growth.

“We are honored to have been chosen as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2014,” said Jacques Mombleau, president and CEO of Spectra Premium Industries Inc. “This makes a wonderful recognition for our company’s 25th anniversary celebrated in 2014. On my behalf and on behalf of my two partners Kerry Best and Denis Poirier, we would like to say thanks to our board of directors’ members and to our other partners: Fonds de solidarité FTQ, Desjardins DCR and the Placide Poulin Family for their trust and support since the privatization of our company in 2007. But really, this recognition comes to our 1,200 employees who show constant devotion so that our company continues to stand out in Canada, United States and more recently in Asia.”

“This great recognition is also a tribute to our loyal customers who have been instrumental in the growth and development of Spectra Premium,” said Jason Best, senior vice president of aftermarket sales and business development.
