Right to Repair Cosponsors Continue to Grow
The momentum keeps growing behind the Motor Vehicle Owners’ Right to Repair Act HR 2735. This week, Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.), added her name to the growing list of bill supporters, bringing the cosponsor total to 87.
Bandag Acquires Majority Interest in Speedco
Bandag Inc. has acquired an 87.5 percent majority interest in Speedco Inc. from its founders and Shell Oil Products US. Headquartered in Cuyuga, Ind., Speedco provides quick-service truck lubrication nationwide through 26 company-owned and six licensed on-highway locations. Bandag will operate Speedco as an independent business unit.
Tesma International Completes Acquisition of Davis Industries
Tesma International has completed its acquisition of Davis Industries. Tesma announced its intention to acquire all outstanding shares of the privately-held automotive supplier in mid-December. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. According to Tesma, Davis’ main product focus, in the area of stamped powertrain components and assemblies, will complement and broaden Tesma’s current product offerings and customer base.
