WASHINGTON — The momentum keeps growing behind the Motor Vehicle Owners’ Right to Repair Act HR 2735. This week, Rep. Shelley Berkley (D-Nev.), added her name to the growing list of bill supporters, bringing the cosponsor total to 87.

“It is clear that the large number letters from the aftermarket including many AAIA members is having a profound impact,” said Kathleen Schmatz, president, AAIA. Schmatz also thanked the large number of members that have sent thank you notes to Senator Lindsey Graham for his recent introduction of a Senate Right to Repair bill (S 2138) and urged those who have not done so to send a letter of appreciation for the Senator’s efforts on behalf of the industry and car owners as soon as possible.
