Mitchell 1 Announces Availability of OnDemand5 Manager/ManagerPlus, Version 5.9

Mitchell 1 has announced the availability of its OnDemand5 Manager/Manager Plus, Version 5.9, which supports a new integration to the NAPA Web-based catalog; providing installers the ability to look-up and transfer NAPA parts to their management system work orders with just a few, simple clicks of their mouse. Current users of Manager/ManagerPlus will receive a free upgrade to the new version.

Midas Reports 2006 Earnings Per Share of 67 Cents after Special Charges for Shop Upgrades, Closings

Midas has reported net income of $10.5 million—or 67 cents per diluted share—for the fiscal year ended Dec. 30, 2006, after pre-tax business transformation charges of $3.3 million, operating losses related to the company’s former exhaust manufacturing business of $1.2 million and stock option expense of $2.2 million. Midas also realized pre-tax gains on asset sales of $3.4 million during the year.

Illinois Auto Parts Chain Adds 10th Store

An auto-parts supply store in Petersburg, IL, has become the 10th outlet in the Quincy Automotive Supply chain. It also becomes the second acquisition in less than six months for the Springfield, IL-based company. The company, which is affiliated with NAPA Auto Parts, has been based in Springfield since 1944. About 90 percent of its business is with wholesale customers, such as repair shops and automobile dealerships.
