HDAW Education Program to Feature Industry “Hot Topics”

The 2008 Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) education program will feature outstanding speakers addressing important issues for the independent heavy duty aftermarket. HDAW ’08 is slated for Monday, Jan. 21, through Thursday, Jan. 24, at The Mirage in Las Vegas. The 2008 program also will include presentations from two top-ranked speakers from past HDAW conferences: Tom Easton of Essential Action Group and Dr. Clint Longenecker, of the College of Business Administration, University of Toledo, according to Gene Damron, HDAW education committee co-chairman.

HDAW 2008 Planning Begins with Election of Leadership Team

Jerry Weis, president of Ott’s Friction Supply Inc., has been elected to serve as the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2008 chairman. Weis was elected at the HDAW Joint Operating Committee (JOC) meeting March 30 in Chicago. The JOC also re-elected Joe Mejaly, vice president and general manager, ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Aftermarket Business, as HDAW 2008 vice chairman. The 2008 Education Committee will be co-chaired by Gene Damron, vice president and general manager, Page Group, and Don Reimondo, senior vice president, customer relationship management, Affinia Group Inc.
