Pieter Klinkers Promoted To CEO Maxion Wheels

http://gty.im/134973530 SAO PAULO – Marcos Oliveira, president and CEO of Iochpe Maxion, announced that Pieter Klinkers is being promoted to CEO of Maxion Wheels, effective March 1.

Klinkers has a successful history of 20 years in wheels and tires, working for the Michelin Group before joining Maxion Wheels in 2005 as vice president of sales for Europe, Africa & Asia Pacific (EAAP). Klinkers was promoted to president – EAAP in 2009, where he has successfully increased sales and profitability for the region. He assumed further responsibilities in 2013, spearheading the fast-moving innovation efforts Maxion Wheels had launched after its take-over of the legacy Hayes Lemmerz in early 2012.

Klinkers will be leading the Maxion Wheels team from the company’s holding company in Konigswinter (Bonn), Germany. Maxion Wheels produces wheels for passenger cars, light trucks and commercial trucks and trailers. The company also produces steel wheels for military, agricultural and other off-highway applications.  With more than 100 years of wheel-making experience and more than 10,000 employees globally, Maxion is one of the world’s largest wheel manufacturers, currently producing 65 million wheels per year and generating sales of more than $2 billion.
