Philips Names Dave Illes Senior Sales Manager, North American Automotive Aftermarket

Illes comes to Philips from Tenneco Inc., where he worked in both Canada and the U.S. in a variety of sales management and operations roles.

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Philips Automotive Lighting North America, a division of Royal Philips Electronics, has appointed Dave Illes as its senior sales manager for the North American Automotive Aftermarket. He will be responsible for all sales channels and customers in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.

Illes comes to Philips with a great deal of sales experience and expertise. Prior to joining the company, he spent 10 years with Tenneco Inc., working in both Canada and the U.S. in a variety of sales management and operations roles. Prior to Tenneco, he spent five years at Arrow Automotive of Canada.

Commenting on his new appointment, Iles noted, “Philips is a world-class manufacturer and has identified the North American automotive aftermarket as a tremendous growth opportunity. Philips Automotive Lighting products are installed on one in three new vehicles sold globally, so there is an unparalleled expertise in original equipment fit and function and innovative aftermarket upgrade options.”

Illes will be based out of Philips Automotive Lighting North America corporate headquarters in Farmington Hills, Mich.
