Philippe Gosselin & Associates Becomes Shell Lubricants Alliance Distributor for Quebec

The company will distribute branded lubricants of Shell Canada Products (SCP) and Pennzoil-Quaker State Canada Inc. (PQS) in the Province of Quebec under the Shell Lubricants Alliance Distributor program.

STE-MARIE-DE-BEAUCE, Quebec – Philippe Gosselin & Associates (PGA), one of the largest independent distributors of Shell petroleum products in the province of Quebec, has signed an agreement to distribute branded lubricants of Shell Canada Products (SCP) and Pennzoil-Quaker State Canada Inc. (PQS) in the Province of Québec under the Shell Lubricants Alliance Distributor program.

Under this new distribution agreement, PGA will offer SCP’s and PQS’s branded automotive, transport, aviation and industrial lubricants, including those sold under the Shell Rotella, Pennzoil and Quaker State brands.

Michel Lehoux, president of PGA, stated, "The distribution of these strong brands is perfectly aligned with our corporate strategy of being a leader in the distribution of petroleum products. We are very proud to be a Shell Lubricants Alliance Distributor. Our team of qualified and dedicated employees certainly plans to stimulate the growth of these brands, and to continue providing to our select clientele adapted marketing programs, personalized service, ease of ordering, efficient deliveries and precise invoicing."

PGA says it believes in an individualized and personalized approach where the customer is at the heart of everything they do; the ultimate goal is to put "service" back into customer service.

PGA’s relationship with Shell in Canada dates back to 1956. PGA operates in all three market segments: distribution of commercial fuels; retail gas station and convenience food store management; and distribution of lubricants. As a Shell Lubricants Alliance Distributor, PGA will distribute lubricant products to Shell associate distributors, warehouse distributors, buying groups and independent workshop customers.

Shell has been operating in Canada since 1911, and according to independent research firm Kline & Co., the lubricants businesses of SCP and PQS are together the country’s leading supplier of commercial automotive and consumer automotive lubricants. Globally, Shell Lubricants companies supply 13 percent of lubricants volume.
