The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance concluded its 2019 Summer Shareholder Meeting on June 5 at the Sheraton New Orleans. During the four-day conference, hundreds of channel partners as well as Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper shareholders attended committee and board meetings, panel discussions, shareholder workshops, a channel partner mixer, networking opportunities and more.

At the Alliance 2019 Summer Shareholder Meeting in New Orleans, Auto Care Association Director of State Affairs Tom Tucker addressed nearly 400 Alliance members and channel partners to discuss the industry’s political status.
On June 3, three deserving St. Louis veterans experienced a life-changing event: the presentation of vehicles to provide them independence and the ability to work and take care of their families. The gifting occurred thanks to the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides program, along with car donors GEICO, Farmers Insurance and USAA and collision repair partners CARSTAR Wentzville, ABRA Autobody and Schaefer Autobody.
On June 5, Continental celebrated the opening of its new Advanced Indoor Evaluation Center in Uvalde, Texas. The $10 million facility is optimized to provide indoor testing capacity for all passenger and light-truck tires. The ceremony was attended by Continental Director of Global Evaluation and Tire Additional Performance Thomas Neddenriep along with local dignitaries.
