ROANOKE , VA — Parts Depot presented a number of awards industry partners last week at the Parts Depot Leadership Conference held in Orlando , FL.
At the conference, held at Universal Studios, Parts Depot awarded its Best Field Representation of 2006 to Wix Filters. Alan Bostwick, vice president of marketing and merchandising presented the award to several Wix representatives including Bill Sheehan vice president of sales for Wix Filters.
“This award is decided from input from our managers and salespeople in the 11 states that we service” said Mark Doornbos , director of marketing for Parts Depot. “Wix continues to provide us with superior products and representation that allows us to be a market leader” Doornbos continued.
ATP received the award for Best Fill Rate for vendors shipping less than 100,000 line items. Bostwick presented the award to Terry Early from ATP. “ATP has been a market leader for years and continues to be a great supplier to Parts Depot, Inc.,” Bostwick said when announcing the award.
Parts Depot awarded Dorman with its 2006 Innovator of the Year award. Dorman received the same award in 2005.
“Dorman continues to demonstrate forward thinking by enhancing its OE Solutions line,” said Bostwick. “This allows our jobbers and company store locations to offer OE style parts solutions to their customers who previously would have to purchase from their OE Sources.”
Henry Prentice, southeast regional manager for Dorman received the award from Bostwick.
Federal-Mogul received the Parts Depot Category Management Support Vendor of 2006. This is the second year in a row that Federal-Mogul has received this award. Bostwick presented the award to several Federal-Mogul representatives including Roy Kent, vice president of national accounts and central aftermarket sales.
“Federal-Mogul continues to commit the time and resources to Parts Depot in support of our category management efforts,” said John Schaffer, director of category management for Parts Depot, Inc. “Category management is vital to the future of our business and Federal-Mogul continues to be a great partner in this process.”
Parts Depot awarded its 2006 Marketing Partner of the Year award to Tenneco, Inc.
“Tenneco leads the market with strong consumer promotions like “Witch Shock” and supports Parts Depot’s marketing efforts to our company stores and independent jobbers” said Doornbos.
Bostwick presented the award to several Tenneco representatives including Jeff Koviak, southeast national sales manager.
Tenneco also received the 2006 Best Logistical Support of 2006 award.
“Tenneco has always worked with Parts Depot to insure that their product is at the right place at the right time,” said Bostwick. “They have been instrumental in keeping our inventories up to date and helping with resetting several of our distribution facilities in 2006.”
USA Industries was presented with the 2006 Vendor of the Year Award. Commenting on the recognition, Bostwick said: “USA Industries provides high quality product with consistent fill rates in the high 90’s. In 2006 USA Industries changed over the rotating electrical at more than 200 of our company store and independent jobber locations, with no interruption to service levels.”
Bostwick presented the award to Matt McGuire, vice president of group sales for USA Industries.
USA Industries also received the Best Fill Rate of 2006 for vendors shipping greater than 100,000 line items. “USA Industries provided Parts Depot with a 99.14 percent shipping average for 2006,” Bostwick told the 600 attendees at the conference. “The fill rate remained consistent as USA changed-over 200 company store and independent jobbers in early 2006”.
Parts Depot awarded the award for Best Agency Representation of 2006 to N.A. Williams Company of Atlanta , GA.
“N. A. Williams continues to provide great support to Parts Depot and our customers” commented Mark Doornbos Director of Marketing for Parts Depot, Inc. “We’re proud to have them as part of the Parts Depot family.”
Several N. A. Williams representatives, including Ridley Williams, owner of N. A. Williams, were on hand to accept the award.
