The Car Care Council is now offering a line of “Be Car Care Aware” branded merchandise for purchase from the Council’s Web site at www.carcare.org. Visitors to the “industry” section of the site will find a virtual store containing items such long sleeve denim shirts, short sleeve “polo” shirts, t-shirts, and caps, as well as premium items such as calculators, key chains, travel mugs, balloons, pens, calendars and memo pads.

2005 PRI Trade Show To Display More New Racing Technology and Products

According to show organizers, the 2005 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show will be bigger and better than ever this year. Slated to take place Dec. 1-3 in Orlando, Fla., the 18th Annual PRI Trade Show will encompass 1,000,000-square feet of floor space, with more than 25 percent of exhibitors requesting additional booths this year. This is the first time the event will take place in Orlando, after 17 years in Indianapolis.

FedEx Announces Plans to Add up to 75 ‘Clean Air’ Hybrid Trucks to Fleet

FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., today announced plans to add up to 75 hybrid, diesel electric trucks to its service fleet in the next 12 months. The announcement coincided with the unveiling of two FedEx hybrid trucks in the nation’s capital on Thursday, which brought the company-wide total of hybrid trucks in use to 18. The Washington, D.C. rollout is a joint initiative with Environmental Defense and Eaton Corp.

Visteon Top Legal Exec to Leave with $1.4 Million

The top legal officer at Visteon Corp. is leaving the auto-parts maker and will be paid $1.36 million as part of her resignation package. Van Buren Township, Mich.-based Visteon laid out the details Wednesday of the amicable departure of Stacy Fox as senior vice president and general counsel for the nation’s second-largest auto supplier, effective March 31.
