As the grand prize winner, Dale Reed of Reed Tire Center, Stanley, Va., received an all-expense paid trip for two to the Mecum High Performance Car Auction in Kissimmee, Fla., which took place Jan. 26-30 at the Osceola Heritage Park, and $15,000 to spend on his dream car.

Federated Celebrates 15th Annual Federated Auto Parts 300
Billy Scott of the Martin/Scott Sales Agency served as grand marshal of the Federated 300 and gave the “start your engines” command to the field. Matt McGuire, vice president of program group sales for USA Industries, was the co-grand marshal and also presented the winner’s trophy at the conclusion of the race.
Executive Interview with Rusty Bishop, CEO, Federated Auto Parts
Rusty Bishop began his career in the automotive aftermarket 38 years ago when he joined Fisher Auto Parts, where he held a number of positions in warehouse and jobber store management and also served as a director of the company. In 1985, Bishop co-founded Federated Auto Parts Distributors, a program marketing group for major warehouse distributors. Through the years, Bishop’s leadership allowed Federated to grow to become one of the leading program groups in the industry. He currently holds the position of CEO of Federated, which is headquartered in Staunton, Va. In this exclusive AMN Executive Interview, Bishop reflects on Federated’s 25th anniversary and the changes he has witnessed in the distribution sector during that time. He also shares his expectations for the future of the industry.

A graduate of Moore’s School of Business at the University of South Carolina, York began his aftermarket career working for Perfection Hy-Test, where he held various positions including financial analyst, regional sales manager, assistant comptroller and, most recently, sales manager — traditional business.
