Federated Auto Parts Inducts Four Executives into “Vendor Hall of Fame”
Federated Auto Parts has announced the inductees into its “Vendor Hall of Fame,” a recognition program the group started several years ago. The announcement was made by Federated Vice President Mike Schultz at the group’s annual meeting held May 11-14 in New Orleans.

A veteran of more than 30 years in the automotive aftermarket, Mike Schultz has served as executive vice president (EVP) for Federated Auto Parts since 2003. Federated is one of the industry’s premier programmed marketing groups, with more than 3,800 Federated Auto Parts Stores and 2,400 Federated Car Care Centers nationwide. Schultz recently brought aftermarketNews (AMN) up to speed on his role at Federated, having celebrated his first year as executive vice president. KYB America Named Federated Auto Parts “Outstanding Vendor of the Year”
KYB America LLC has been named “Outstanding Vendor of the Year” by Federated Auto Parts. The announcement was made by Federated Chairman Bo Fisher on May 14 at Federated’s annual meeting held in Salt Lake City. The Federated “Outstanding Vendor-of-the-Year” award is presented annually to the supplier who provides the best overall service to the Federated membership.

Art Fisher, CEO of Fisher Auto Parts and Founder of Federated Auto Parts Distributors, Dies at 65
Arthur Jay (Art) Fisher Jr., CEO of Fisher Auto Parts and founder of Federated Auto Parts Distributors, died Jan. 15 in Staunton, Va. He was 65. A graduate of Hope College in Holland, Mich., Fisher taught school before entering the automotive aftermarket in 1964. Under his leadership, Fisher Auto Parts grew from a single location to become one of the largest independently owned auto parts chains in the U.S. Today there are more than 300 Fisher Auto Parts stores, with 18 warehouses and more than 2,000 employees. Fisher founded Federated Auto Parts Distributors in 1985. Federated quickly became one of the industry’s premier programmed marketing groups, with more than 3,800 Federated Auto Parts Stores and 2,400 Federated Car Care Centers today nationwide. In addition to his work and dedication to Fisher and Federated Auto Parts, Fisher served on the board of governors of AWDA and served as chairman in 2001.
Federated Member Vaca Valley Auto Parts Celebrates 45th Anniversary
Vaca Valley Auto Parts began in 1974 with five employees working out of a 4,800-square-foot building with one delivery vehicle. Today, headquartered in a 30,000-square-foot building, more than 30 employees and a large fleet of delivery vehicles continue to serve Solano County.
Federated, Fisher Auto Parts Establish Memorial Fund To Honor Frank Berrodin
Federated and Fisher each have made a donation to the University of the Aftermarket Foundation in Berrodin’s memory to fund industry educational initiatives, including the newly established Frank Berrodin Memorial Scholarship that will be awarded to a deserving student pursuing a career in the automotive aftermarket.
Federated Member Vaca Valley Auto Parts Opens New Distribution Center In California
The new Vaca Valley distribution center has twice the retail space and houses double the on-hand inventory as the previous location. The company will be adding to its fleet of delivery vehicles and will expand the route of its mobile parts van.

The grand opening will coincide with the company’s 43rd anniversary on May 1.
