Coni-Seal Subsidiary Offers More Details on the Qualitee International Acquisition

Last week it was announced that Qualitee International was acquired by AutoPartSource, a subsidiary of Roscigno Industries Inc. of Iselin, NJ. Roscigno is a holding company led by Frank Pagano, CEO of Coni-Seal, Lakewood, NJ. The new company, AutoPartSource, will remain headquartered in Richmond, Va., and will continue as a stand alone company, focused on the distribution of brake and clutch products to the undercar segment of the aftermarket.

Gessford Machine Inc. Named 2004

George Anderson, owner of Gessford Machine in Hastings, Neb., has been named the 2004 “Machine Shop of the Year” award by Engine Builder magazine and the Engine Rebuilders Association (AERA). AERA is a not-for-profit trade association, serving the engine rebuilder/remanufacturing industry, machine shops, equipment, parts and services suppliers since 1922.

UTI Expands Program at Florida Campus to Include Automotive Training

Universal Technical Institute (UTI), a national provider of technical education training, has announced a long-term agreement to expand program offerings at its Orlando, Fla., campus to include automotive training. The Orlando automotive program expansion will help to address the growing technician needs within that specific region, said UTI. According to state occupational projections, Florida has the third largest number of annual automotive technician openings in the U.S.

Cooper Tire to Sponsor Saturn Motorsports Racing Program

Cooper Tire & Rubber and its subsidiary Mickey Thompson Performance Tires and Wheels, has announced a new sponsorship and supply agreement with Saturn Motorsports. The agreement positions Cooper Tire as a major associate sponsor of the Saturn Motorsports Pro FWD Ion, driven by three-time world champion and current NHRA point’s leader, Lisa Kubo. Cooper Tire will also title sponsor a Saturn Motorsports tuner car slated to compete later this year in Sport FWD.
