Huzl Named CEO of Hendrick Automotive Group
Motorsports mogul Rick Hendrick announced a new chief executive for his Hendrick Automotive Group and other personnel shuffling for his business entities this week. Jim Huzl is being promoted to automotive group president and CEO effective July 1. Huzl succeeds Jim Perkins, who is becoming the first president and COO of the Hendrick Cos., an organization recently formed to manage initiatives of Hendrick’s various business enterprises.
UTI Announces Retirement of Robert Hartman; John White Named as Successor
Universal Technical Institute Chairman Robert Hartman has announced plans to retire from his duties as an executive officer and chairman of the board, effective September 30. Hartman will continue to serve as a member of UTI’s board of directors.

Lear Names New President and COO
Lear Corp. today named Douglas DelGrosso as its new president and COO, effective immediately. He will report to Lear Chairman and CEO Bob Rossiter. DelGrosso began his career with Lear in 1984 as a design engineer and has progressively advanced to positions of increasing responsibility.

Joe DePaulis has joined the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) as the director of membership and services. His experience includes serving as the senior brand manager of NASCAR, where he was responsible for brand development of the racing organization’s identity in the automotive aftermarket. His corporate experience includes NO Touch Products, Armor All Products and NAPA New York.

Former Kmart Exec Named New CEO at ArvinMeritor
James Donlon has been named senior vice president and CFO of ArvinMeritor, effective April 1. Donlon comes to ArvinMeritor from Kmart where he served as senior vice president and CFO. From 1998 until 2003, Donlon was senior vice president and controller for the Chrysler Group at DaimlerChrysler Corp. Donlon joined DaimlerChrysler in 1979, and held financial management and leadership positions of increasing responsibility during his 25 years there, including that of director of international planning and new venture development. He began his career in 1969 with Ford Motor Co.
