Prior to the purchase, JDI’s gas caddy line, sold under the brand name Fuel Chief, was the largest in North America. Handy held the second position nationally and abroad, according to JohnDow. Handy Industries, located in Marshalltown, Iowa, has been manufacturing products since 1964. The Handy Gas Caddy asset acquisition is the second of its kind for JDI in the past year.
