LANSDALE, Pa. — Registration is now open for "MACS-I-MIZE YOUR OPPORTUNITIES for SUCCESS," the 31st annual Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) convention and trade show. The event takes place Jan. 27-29, 2011 at Walt Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
According to show organizers, the 2011 event brings an expanded collaboration between MACS and long-time training partner Automotive Video Inc. (AVI).
More than 28 speakers and 34 different sessions of automotive and heavy-duty/off-road mobile A/C and high-tech automotive training by the best in the business make this the must-attend training event in 2011, according to MACS. Attendees will also be able to hear the latest information on new refrigerant technologies and regulations as U.S. EPA representatives and MACS Technical Advisor Ward Atkinson present the current developments.
Because of MACS’ collaboration with AVI, the 2011 convention brings the broadest variety of tech session topics and trainers that it ever has in the show’s history, an unprecedented value not only for A/C specialists, but for all automotive repair techs, according to MACS. Plus, on the morning of Saturday, Jan. 29, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a free MACS Section 609 certification training class and test session, by itself a $50 value. Afterward, they’ll be able to take in the trade show, and after that, have a choice of four different training classes to attend for a minimal charge.
MACS attendees will also get the chance to sharpen and focus their business perspectives when keynote speaker Dwain DeVille, author of “The Biker’s Guide to Business,” shares his experiences and concepts. DeVille combines lessons learned from decades spent in the boardroom and on the open road to help any entrepreneur navigate through today’s challenges
The MACS tradeshow kicks off on Friday, Jan. 28 at 3 p.m. and will feature a chance to explore vendor booths and win prizes while enjoying a happy hour from 5-7 p.m. More networking events include Wednesday’s golf tournament at Walt Disney’s Osprey Ridge Course, Thursday’s roundtable discussion lunch, the Thursday evening MACS welcoming reception and Saturday’s trade show brunch.
