Universal Automotive Promotes William Stock To Senior Vice President Supply Chain

Universal Automotive Industries, a distributor and manufacturer of brake rotors and other brake parts, has promoted William Stock to senior vice president of supply chain, having previously served as vice president manufacturing for the last two-and-a-half years.

Three Join AASA Board

Three automotive aftermarket executives have joined the board of governors of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA). AASA is the aftermarket market segment association of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA). New board members serving three year terms are: Kevin Baird, CEO, Qualitor Inc., Southfield, Mich.; John Casanova, senior vice president, Remy International, Anderson, Ind.; and John Casanova, senior vice president, Remy International, Anderson, Ind.

Overseas Automotive Council Selects Three New Board Members

Three new members have been elected to the Overseas Automotive Council (OAC) Board of Directors for three-year terms of office. OAC is the international aftermarket division of MEMA. The council promotes the sale in foreign markets of automotive products manufactured in North America.

Joe Felicelli To Be AASA’s New Chairman

Joe Felicelli, executive vice president, worldwide aftermarket operations, for Federal-Mogul Corp. in Southfield, Mich., will take the reins as the new chairman of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) on Monday, Nov. 1, at the group’s board meeting in Las Vegas. Felicelli is the second aftermarket executive to serve as leader of the association, established in 2002. Current Chairman Charley Johnson, president and CEO of TransPro Inc., in New Haven, Conn., will step down as the group’s first chairman at the November meeting.

Corteco Names Musgrave as President

Corteco has appointed Thomas Musgrave as its new president. Corteco is the aftermarket business of Plymouth, Mich.-based Freudenberg- NOK, a joint venture between Freudenberg & Co. of Germany and NOK Corp. of Japan. As of July 12, Musgrave replaced Phil Damaska, who has left the company. A reason for Damaska’s departure was not provided by the company.

Mohsen Sohi Appointed to Hayes Lemmerz’ Board of Directors

Hayes Lemmerz International has named Dr. Mohsen Sohi to its board of directors. There are eight directors currently on Hayes Lemmerz’ Board of Directors. Sohi is president and CEO of Freudenberg-NOK.

Autolite Expands Reach Into Accessories Category

Honeywell’s Autolite brand, known for spark plugs and ignition wires, has set its sights on a new market — automotive accessories. The brand is launching two new consumer-oriented lighting products. Autolite SpotGlo, a new seatbelt light designed for reading, working or playing a game while traveling, and Autolite TriGlo, a dual-purpose light source for both home and car usage. Both products will be available for order by mass merchant and automotive specialty retailers, as well as convenience stores and various other retail outlets.

ArvinMeritor Names David Devonshire to Board of Directors

Motorola Executive Vice President and CFO David Devonshire has been elected to the ArvinMeritor Board of Directors. His seat on the board becomes effective on July 22. Before joining Motorola in 2002, Devonshire was executive vice president and CFO for Ingersoll-Rand.
