BFGoodrich Launches New National Ad Push
Michelin North America’s BFGoodrich brand is launching a new national television and enthusiast magazine advertising campaign, kicking the effort off during CBS broadcasts of NCAA college basketball tournament games. The 30-second TV spots will feature a number of motorsport personalities, including X-Games rally champion Travis Pastrana, two-time Formula Drift champ Samuel Hubinette, Baja 1000 winner Larry Roeseler, and rock crawling champion Tracy Jordan.

BFGoodrich Talks Deadlocked; Strike Deadline Approaches
Negotiations between the United Steelworkers of America (USWA) and three of Michelin North America’s BFGoodrich plants remain deadlocked just hours before a deadline that could result in a 3,500-worker strike. The bargaining talks involve BFGoodrich’s three U.S. plants in Woodburn, Ind. (near Fort Wayne); Opelika, Ala.; and Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Steelworkers Strike Against BFGoodrich in Ontario
More than 1,000 members of the Steelworkers union are on strike against Michelin-owned BFGoodrich Tires in Kitchener, Ontario. United Steelworkers’ Ontario/Atlantic Director Wayne Fraser said the local union’s negotiators worked over the weekend with a Ministry of Labor mediator to try to reach a settlement.
