ASA Hosts Free Service Information Workshops in Six Cities

The Automotive Service Association (ASA) recently hosted its Service Information Workshop series in Massachusetts and New Jersey. Workshops were held in six cities May 27, 28 and 29 to educate shop owners and technicians about the availability of service information to automotive repair shops. Donny Seyfer, AAM, co-owner of Seyfer Automotive, Wheatridge, Colo., led three Massachusetts workshops in West Springfield, North Adams and Middleton on behalf of the association; John Francis III, co-owner of Francis Automotive Services, West Chester, Pa., led three New Jersey workshops in Newark, Trenton and Mount Laurel. Representatives from Ford Motor Co. and Subaru were also present to assist with the workshops.

ASA Hosts Vehicle Service Information Presentation on Capitol Hill

An informational meeting regarding automotive service information was held this week on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., for congressional offices. Donny Seyfer, AAM, co-owner of Seyfer Automotive in the Denver area and chairman of the Automotive Service Association’s (ASA) Colorado affiliate, led the meeting on behalf of the ASA. The purpose of the meeting was to educate legislators and staff members on the availability of service information to automotive repair shops.

Automotive Associations Launch Service Information Video

The Automotive Service Association (ASA), the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers (Alliance) and the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers (AIAM) have produced a video addressing service repair issues in the automotive industry. The video was created to address the “Right to Repair” bills that have been presented in various state legislatures and in the U.S. Congress. The purpose of the video is to demonstrate the associations’ claim that the same service information is available to dealers and independent automotive repairers.
