I recently read an article that discusses a new retail strategy – Pay N Save – from aftermarket retailer CSK Auto. According to the article, the Pay N Save concept was created to provide a “convenient, easy-to-shop alternative to the mega-store hassle.” A Pay N Save spokesperson said, “you can think of a Pay N Save as a mini Costco meets a tool store meets a Michael’s.”
Federal-Mogul Names Ramzi Hermiz Senior Vice President, Sealing Systems
Ramzi Hermiz has been appointed senior vice president, sealing systems for Federal-Mogul. He was also appointed to the company’s strategy board. Previously vice president of Federal-Mogul’s European Aftermarket, Hermiz joined Federal-Mogul in 1998 when the company purchased Fel-Pro, Inc. Since then, Hermiz has held positions of increasing responsibility, beginning with director, purchasing; followed by director, pull systems and inventory; and then vice president, global supply chain management.

Federal-Mogul to Give Away Classic Chevrolet El Camino SS Through 2005 Training Promo
The Federal-Mogul Technical Education Center (TEC) will give away a 1966 Chevrolet El Camino SS with a “numbers-matching” engine and rare package of factory options to an engine rebuilder, professional technician or parts counterperson through its 2005 Federal-Mogul Training Excellence Sweepstakes. Any qualified aftermarket professional may enter the sweepstakes by enrolling in a 2005 TEC training workshop or field clinic, or by contacting TEC for course information. There is no entry fee or enrollment requirement. The Training Excellence Sweepstakes drawing will be held in mid-December 2005.
