The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced the members of the 2006 Tire Industry Hall of Fame. The new inductees are Jaques Bajer, president of Tire Systems Engineering Inc. and Armando Tornel Murillo, executive president at Empresas Tornel.

The action against Newsun/Sunshine-AIS is the result of a patent infringement on automatic belt tensioners produced in China.

Carrying on a proud tradition, Vic Edelbrock Jr. last week presented a check for $6,619 to Levi Wassemiller, an automotive student at the Northwest Kansas Technical College (NWKTC). Wassemiller, 19, of Goodland, Ks., is the recipient of the 2005 Vic Edelbrock Sr. Scholarship Award.
