CLEVELAND, Ohio — Ohio Technical College has received certification for its automotive training program from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

To achieve ASE certification, OTC’s automotive training program was evaluated by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) to meet nationally accepted standards in instruction, facilities and equipment.

In addition, OTC’s automotive program is master certified in Automatic Transmission and Transaxle; Brakes; Electrical; Electronic Systems; Engine Performance; Engine Repair; Heating and Air Conditioning; Manual Drive Train and Axles and Suspension and Steering.

"We have worked closely with NATEF to make certain that our program meets strict industry standards and we are delighted to join the ranks of ASE certified training programs," said Bill Woessner, director of automotive, Ohio Technical College. "Students can be assured of a quality education, and shop owners will be assured of getting quality job applicants. This certification gives students added insurance that they will be employable, in-demand technicians upon graduation."
