New Video Highlights Ease of Use of ASE Renewal App

The app provides management of A1-A9 recertifications on a phone, tablet or computer.

A new video from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) shows automotive professionals how easy the ASE Renewal App is to use for recertification. The ASE Renewal App is a popular remote option for managing A1-A9 recertifications and challenging your technical knowledge on a phone, tablet or computer.

“The ASE Renewal App has enabled thousands of automotive professionals to maintain their ASE certifications and keep up with changing technology without setting foot in a test center,” said Tim Zilke, ASE president and CEO. “The ASE Renewal App promotes continual learning while, at the same time, making recertification as simple as possible. The new video provides a great overview for those interested in subscribing, showing them how the app works and how easy it is to use.”

The app allows users to answer questions throughout the year to extend their A1-A9 certifications. Individuals earn points for answering questions correctly. Once a user earns enough points, their certification will be extended (not renewed) for one year. App participants must resubscribe annually to keep their renewal app account active.

Automotive service professionals who have not subscribed to the app previously and have certifications expiring on June 30, 2022 or later can subscribe to the app and receive an initial one-year extension on their certifications. The one-year extension offer only applies to unexpired A1-A9 certifications. This offer does not apply to any other certifications or series.
