New Meritor “Reality” Radio Campaign Salutes Drivers

TROY, MI — ArvinMeritor, through its Meritor brand, has created a new "reality" radio campaign that will launch during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week (Aug. 20-26).

According to the company, the campaign uses an innovative stream-of-consciousness approach that was developed to give listeners a true appreciation of what it’s like to live behind the wheel. Negotiating steep grades, meeting tight deadlines, being a dad via email and late-night stops for ham and eggs are all part of the challenge of being a professional driver.

"When you talk about performance, drivers really deliver. We never lose sight of that. It’s what inspires us to develop high-performance components to help the American Trucking Industry deliver the good stuff," said Mike Pennington, ArvinMeritor’s senior director – global marketing communications and industry relations for Commercial Vehicle Systems.

The new Meritor-brand campaign will air on WBAP’s Midnight Trucking Radio Network on Sirius Satellite Channel 147 with hosts Eric Harley and Gary McNamara.
