According a report from Pacific Business News, NAPA Auto Parts has acquired the assets of sister companies, C.W. Carter Co. and Redline Automotive in Hawaii.
The purchase includes eight stores and warehouses on three major Hawaiian Islands that distribute to independently owned auto parts stores in the state. NAPA currently has 32 stores in Hawaii.
The two companies’ 160 employees will not be affected by the acquisition, which is effective Nov. 1.
Redline is owned by Texas-based GMOB Group. Founded in 1981, Redline became the exclusive ACDelco distributor in Hawaii, when it was purchased by GMOB Group in 2002, the report said.
