Mitchell Introduces French Language Version of ABS Management System

SAN DIEGO, CA — Mitchell International, a provider of information, workflow and performance management solutions to the collision claims and repair industries, has announced that it will release a French version of its ABS body shop management system in the fourth quarter of 2007. This new French language version of ABS will make its market debut at the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) 2007 in Las Vegas from Oct. 31-Nov. 3.

"Mitchell remains committed to maintaining its leadership position in the shop marketplace by delivering innovative solutions and services that meet everyday operational needs of body shops and their long-term business goals,” said Marc Brungger, executive vice president of Mitchell International. “As a result, ABS has experienced more than 10 years of overwhelming success, and we are excited to now offer ABS to our French-speaking customer base in their own language."

Mike Jerry, vice president and GM of Mitchell Canada, said, "With the introduction of ABS French, no other provider can match the functionality, real-world application and breadth of solutions that Mitchell can offer to its customers in Canada. Our English-speaking shops in Quebec have used ABS for many years and we are thrilled that our French customers can now experience the incredible benefits of a solution that has been a proven performer to thousands of shops over the last decade."

Commenting on the announcement, Gilles Ruel, owner of Fix Auto in Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec, said, "We have been using ABS in English for over a year with great success. We are excited and look forward to using the French version."

Mitchell International has two solutions in the body shop management system marketplace: ABS (desktop for single shops) and ABS Enterprise (Web-based for high-functioning and multi-location shops). These management systems automate routine operations like job costing, parts management and scheduling, and generate more than 100 detailed productivity and profitability reports, ensuring that owners and managers have the information they need to make smart business decisions.
