Midtronics Appoints Jim Solari To Board of Directors

WILLOWBROOK, Ill. – Midtronics Inc. has announced the recent addition of Jim Solari to its board of directors.

Since 2011, Solari has served as president of G&W Electric Co., based in Bolingbrook, Ill. Joining G&W as vice president of operations in 2005, Solari has led a dramatic period of sales and profit growth for the company, developing new custom solutions for the electric power industry.

“Jim brings to the table his talents as a strategist, and continuous improvement and product innovation leader in a technology field that serves some of the same markets [that] Midtronics serves,” said Steve McShane, president and CEO of Midtronics. “Jim comes highly recommended for his experience and leadership skill. We welcome him to our board and look forward to his collaboration and support.”

Solari has a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago. He held engineering and management positions at BP Amoco Corp. and AMETEK Corp. prior to joining G&W.
