MEYLE Announces New Heavy-Duty Ball Joints For Renault Vans

Renault van models notoriously require frequent repair caused by premature ball joint failure, according to MEYLE. Developed by Hamburg-manufacturer Wulf Gaertner Autoparts, the new ball joints are engineered to provide improved load-carrying capabilities.

MEYLE - Ball JointsOne of the most frequent causes of unscheduled workshop visits for many Renault van models is defective ball joints. With the MEYLE heavy-duty (HD) ball joints, workshops now have a solution to reliably remedy joint failure on Renault Master and Trafic models. To achieve this, engineers at Wulf Gaertner Autoparts AG have reinforced the ball joint’s individual components along with the corresponding tie rod end and control arm assemblies, all of which are supplied in  MEYLE-HD quality.

Renault van models notoriously require frequent repair caused by premature ball joint failure, according to MEYLE. The original part often fails under the continually heavy axle loads which typically occur in this type of vehicle.

Developed by Hamburg manufacturer Wulf Gaertner Autoparts, the new ball joints are engineered to provide improved load-carrying capabilities. They feature an extremely wear-resistant plastic socket. Specially formulated high-performance grease ensures full compatibility with the materials making up the joint. Under all operating conditions, the grease provides a constant lubricant film between the ball pin and plastic socket thereby ensuring smooth movement in the ball joint.

The MEYLE-HD ball joint also comes with an extended four-year guarantee.
