WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) has promoted Catherine Boland to the position of vice president, legislative affairs. Boland has been serving in the capacity of director, government affairs since joining MEMA in September of 2005.
As vice president for legislative affairs, Boland will be responsible for directing all federal and state lobbying activities for MEMA and will report to MEMA senior vice president of government affairs, Ann Wilson.
"Catherine has done an outstanding job leading the efforts of the association and the industry in important policy areas such as energy and intellectual property," said Bob McKenna, MEMA president and CEO. "Her experience with Sens. George Voinovich (R-Ohio) and James Inhofe (R-Okla.), combined with over five years of experience within the industry, will help bolster MEMA’s Washington office and representation of AASA, HDMA, MERA and OESA members on federal and state legislative issues. This new position is just one of many steps that MEMA is taking to continue to address the needs of our members."
Boland is a 1995 graduate of Catholic University and a native of Oklahoma.
